For those of you with Widescreen monitors.. would you ever go back?

I love my 2005FPW and would never go back to 4:3. Simple as that. I wish I could afford a 2405FPW though...

I really wish ATi would try to rain on nVidia's parade tomorrow by announcing full specs of R520 or leaking info and a launch date or something. Not that I really care for one company over the other, but I'm at what I consider critical mass as far as an upgrade is concerned, and I'd like to see...

I'd be very surprised, at $1500US, even if some e-tailers price gouge a little. It's not too easy to do that when supposedly all these major e-tailers will have 'em on Wed.

Considering that the $900 is $900AU (which equals about $700US) and in the U.S. we don't pay VAT, I think your over reacting. Besides, as far as I've seen most tech stuff is slightly more expensive in the UK. But going by those numbers, I'd guess the G70 should cost $550-$600 US. Then again...

Thanks for the reply wym. I know that many things go into the performance of games on a given system. I guess the review of the FX-57 vs. the 4800+ X2 vs. the P4 3.8Ghz EE answered my first question before I actually asked it. But what I'm wondering now is when will games start taking...

Just thought I'd add my question here instead of starting a new thread. If one was building a machine soley for gaming, and nothing else, would an FX-57 offer a big performance increase over say, an oc'd 4400+? And how likely is it that we will see games coded to make use of dual cores...

Just thought I'd add that while Newegg doesn't seem to have the 4400+ in stock right now, they apparently have the 4600+ OEM in stock right now @ $861 shipped.

I understand the want to "buy American" or, buy from whatever country you're from, especially in relation to providing jobs for neighbors, ect. I just think the way people decide is so arbitrary. If you asked most people, they'd think buying a car from GM is doing more for the U.S. economy than...
