I just got my non HC 2407 and it is glorious. No dead pixels and the little things on a $600 monitor really do make for a more enjoyable experience (monitor stand, pip, pbp, 1:1). This thing really is large though so make sure you see one in a store to decide if you really need one this big

The man is quite right no cpu from intel or amd would ship with a sticker on the heatsink. Imo some dude scrapped a pc for parts and put a label on the cpu to sell it
the es is unnecessary for personal use. just buy whatever is cheapest (out of Seagate and WD- personally I would rather have speed then the acoustics of Samsung)
btw a few degrees doesn't really matter
your temps are fine although your processor is a little warm in load
is your 7800 factory overclocked? Mine used to crash as well in certain games and I found out (by underclocking) that the instability was caused by this factory overclock and RMA'd it
