Help picking card for Battlefield 2

I just got an XFX 6800GS AGP for BF2. Seems to be playing OK so far. If you can try to scrape upm the extra $70.00 or so and get the 6800GS for $220.00 The 256 of GDDR3 really seems to help. GP40X(AWG)

eVGA 6800GS CO AGP

Hey PC Surgeon, You got it backwards. The EVGA card is a reference GT design. The XFX board has a completely redesigned power section (with 10 caps and three heavyduty coils). Check the photos on NewEgg and you will see what I mean. GP40X(AWG)

I agree with you brother, but I was just pointing out that a used card will have no warranty and if it is DOA or dies soon after you install it, you have a pretty paperweight. At least with the GS if you get it new and it dies within the warranty period you can send it in for a new card (unless...

New AGP Video Card

The 6800GS is clocked at the same speeds as the 6800GT with one pipe quad and a vertex shader disabled. If you use RivaTuner to unlock the quad and shader you have a 6800GT. After unlocking the pipes and shader, most have been able to overclock the core to 420+mhz and the memory to 1100+mhz...

Woohoo. just got the email saying that my XFX 6800GS AGP shipped from ZZF. FedEx says the card will be delivered Tuesday 1/10/2006 @ 7:00 PM. This is gonna be fun (if my pipes and shader are good. GP40X(AWG)

Thanks for all the information guys. I have an XFX 6800GS AGP on order and will try to bump it up to 16/6 and 400/1100mhz. A GeForce 6800 Ultra for $220.00 will be nice (it they unlock with no artifacts) GP40X(AWG)

6800GS AGP

Muhahahahahahahaha, FINALLY something worthy to replace my aging 9800 Pro 128. Ordered one yesterday from ZZF since the egg was out of the XFX card. I also noticed that the XFX 6800 GS AGP has what appears to be completely redesigned power circuit comparing it to the EVGA 6800 GS AGP photos on...

XFX 6800GS EXTREME AGP 450Mhz Core!!!!!

Did anyone notice that the XFX 6800GS AGP card is NOT a reference design. Check out and compare the photos of the XFX and EVGA cards @ New Egg. The EVGA card is a reference design as expected but the power section of the XFX card is very different. More Caps and looks like meavy duty mosfets...
