I'd much rather play a new Elder Scrolls, but being that I love them so much I'll probably read the books. Although the plot sounds LAME with a capital L:
"Floating high above the land is a strange and mysterious city that is casting a horrifying shadow ? wherever it falls, people die and...
So my motherboard quit on my so it's time for a rebuild . . . if I have Windows XP OEM and I rebuild the motherboard and CPU can I use that version or will I be forced to buy a new one . . . I'm pretty sure I'll need to buy a new one which is not in my budget and will not make the wife happy...
So my Antec PSU is emitting a very high pitched, almost unnoticeable pitch whether the computer is on or off . . . only by switching the supply off itself does the pitch stop.
My guess is it is time to buy a new PSU, but I wanted to see if anyone else had experienced this. Thanks.
Any thoughts on the HP w2207??? It seemed very well received at prad.de . . . I'm in the market for a 22" widescreen used mainly for gaming and I'm looking at the differences between the good ol' Samsung 226BW, the HP w2207, and the ViewSonic VX2255wmb (which is sort of on the bottom of my...
Hmmm I'm sort of a stickler for good graphics and perfect gemoetry, if something is off it sticks out like a sore thumb to me. . . .
Makes me think that leaning toward a 1440x900 with a 8800 GTS will allow me a better range of perfect resolution and a card that can handle it.
Hmm, I wasn't aware that you can run at non-native res and not notice. That's good to know. I'd love to be able to see that for myself, though - one persons "doesn't look bad to me" might drive me batty.
I'm looking at buying my first LCD screen and I want to make sure I choose a screen with a native resolution that my setup can support.
Let me first say the main reason I haven't switched over until now is I really enjoy being able to switch resolutions on my CRT monitor; having the ability...
Just want to get some quick advice - I'm going to be swapping out my AMD 3200+ Venice for a AMD 4200+ X2 Toldeo tomorrow, and I want to make sure I don't break anything as I pull my heatsink off my old CPU -
I need to warm up the arctic silver with a blowdrier so my heatsink doesn't stick to...
I will overclock eventually but I put my AMD 3200 back to stock speeds before testing the memory.
And yes I put the memory speeds back to normal.
Just to make sure it wasn't my mobo or anything I put my old 2x512MB sticks back in and ran MemTest again. Passed every test just fine.
I...
I received this error when running MemTest for over 2 hours on my new 2GB memory kit:

I recevied this error every time it ran test 8 over those two hours - a total of 5...
Wondering if anyone has heard any news on upcoming DirectX 10 card for use with Vista . . . I'm looking to upgrade in a few months and I'd like to wait to get a forward compatable card. . . any news yet?
I'm cooling with a Thermalright XP-90 with panaflo fans - one over the heatsink, 2 80's in front and one 120 out the back.
I'm using 242 as a stable overclock since I falied Prime95 at 255.
Since I went through all the steps on Zebro's guide I guess I'm good to go.
How repsectable is...
