i agree. I've never had speed/connection issues with Comcast, or Adelphia or their predecessor Verto. Good speeds and service. 11 years and counting...
That is a legacy-free board. No PS2, IDE, floppy, or serial connections. You will need an ide card to make use of your ide hard drives.

I have both the P5K Premium (Q6600) and the IP35 Pro XE (Q9650). The Asus runs 8x400 and the Abit 9x450.
Either is a good choice. I do prefer the Abit though. Noticeably faster (quicker).

It was a church bazaar/flea mkt/auction/bake sale. All I stopped for was some poppy seed roll or nut roll. Came home with a computer case, cpu, dvd writer and blank dvds. And spent ~ $120.00. They were auctioning off hand made quilts for $1300 or a home made dinner once a week...
