macs are in no way shape or form more powerful than a PC in ANY hardware aspect period. They have a very nice look to them plus a good OS coupled to overpricing. Don't listen to apple or sales rep benchmarks or BS, PC's always have been and always will be superior hardware wise.

the actual dimensions of the screen are somethig like 10.?" tall by 17.? inches wide. About as tall as a 17" LCD (19"crt) and very wide ;)

I think that chaintech has problems reporting temps. I saw another guy on the forums running 2300+ mhz 3200+ on stock heatsink. His idle was 33 and load was 35, lol. You can't even hope for those kind of results with great water cooling setups with cascades etc.

are you using air cooling? if so you are looking at the "system" temps most likely. that is the temperature of the air inside your case, not your cpu core. Look at the CPU temp.

Almost as good? PC's with latest hardware (which would be like $2000 range) will always easily outplay any console sold at $300 unless the console people are willing to take a $700 loss (assuming a extreme 50% margin on pc parts) on every part sold. I bet an A64 and 6800 ultra system now...

yep TCCD can go easy 270-280 with some loose timings 1:1. Although your processor mem controller may not be able to go to 270 or 280 htt.

Ok maybe there is something wrong with asus probe cause there is no way there is only a 3C difference between idle and load temps with stock (or any kind of air) cooling. Are you letting prime95 run at least 1 hour and are you using the torture test option for prime95 (with small FFT's for...

I would say WAYYYYY more than 75% hype, cause that would still put it at 250x the performance of a dual opteron server, lol what a joke. Maybe it doesn't even need electricity to run guys, can run 5 years on a single AA battery. Gimme a break, how is it possible to produce a processor that is...

Its funny how people say it can run as many as 10 threads at a time compared to only 2 by a p4. Don't make me laugh, how many applications have 10 simultaneous threads running. Parellel computing is a good concept but just very hard to implement since the human mind and the physical world are...
