I built two machines with this board and they are both still going strong. No problems with either one and since my grandson uses one of them that's saying a lot....lol. I use the other one as my daily machine.
I purchased the Samsung 4665 last weekend at Frys for $1599 and so far it's been great. They also had the 4661 for $1499 but I liked the picture on the 4665 better......not sure if it was worth the extra 100 or not but I went with what looked the best to my eyes.
I have a Samsung HDTV and I get HD channels without using the cable companys box. If your TV has a Qam tuner it should find the HD channels when you do a scan for channels on setup. I just have basic cable.
I bought the academic version of home premium for $70 from Campus tech and it has worked great. Good deal if you are in school or have kids in school or work for a school....etc.
Seems like a nice program but after cloning my drive to a usb drive I couldn't get it to boot either. It lists it in the bios and I enabled the boot from usb but still no go. Now I'm wondering if I take the drive out of the usb enclosure and actually install it in the computer will it boot...
Well I for one don't ever get tired of this thread. There's a reason it's still going on. A great motherboard for a great price. I bought two of them and they are both still going strong.....one on vista and one on xp. Hopefully I didn't just jinx myself.....lol!!
I've gotten all my ultra rebates also.......2 power supplies and 1 case. They just delivered the corsair 520 I ordered today or I would have been all over this one. Still might be actually if it ever shows free shipping. Hard for me to turn down free.....lol
Only one problem I can see......you have to pay your own way to NYC if you win and want to claim the prize. Great for people that live close enough I guess.....of course you'll still have to pay to park.
