Yay for those who got the 3500 over the 3400

Why is intel so much more stable than AMD?

No he said it was hairy and pasty. not firm. And by the way TMI!!!! And instability is usually due to power supply or heat. And isn't midol for women's period cramps?

AMD Athlon 64 3500+ overheating

Try overclocking a bit, because my temps were 45/60 idle/load, and when I overclocked from 11x200 to 10x220 (same CPU speed, overclocked memory), my mobo's reported temps went down. Instead of hanging out in the 50's during normal use, my processor hangs out in the upper 40's during normal use...

I don't understand?

I've had some similar experiences too. I recently overclocked from 11x200 stock to 10x230. My memory timmings are all set to "auto", so i don't know if my memory is on 2T or 1T. The first time I ran 3Dmark03, i got a measly 9000, with my gt overclocked to 400/1.1. This is because for some...

I have a videocard, but i don't have any extra hard drives. And the thing is, i refuse to work with that case. I installed some hard drives last summer in it, and i literally had cuts all over my hands and my nails were ripping off my skin. I just built my first rig in a thermaltake...

It's just a CPU, motherboard and Ram. It's a P4 Willamette 1.8 GHz with 512 mb of RD ram. I would have salvaged the components into a new case, but i took a look at it, and the HSF, power supply, and mobo are all proprieatary designs. And I'd also have to buy a hard drive for it, and...

I have an old Dell, but all that is in it is the motherboard, processor, ram, and floppy. Everything else is gone. I don't have a monitor that i'm throwing out either. Can this stuff just be thrown in a dumpster, or do i have to call Dell for that pick-up program? I know that CRT's...

Computer wont Restart

Sometimes if you unplug a serial mouse or keyboard from the mobo, the computer will not boot windows. Even if you replace it with a USB one, it sometimes still thinks the keyboard is missing. However, I think most likely you have a bad mobo. But first, i would try testing your videocard...

MSI K8N Neo2 Plat. + AMD 64 3500+ temps?

My rig is back up. Idle temps are in the 43-45 C range. Load can get into the high 50's. I'm still running bios 1.1 tho. My thermaltake cooler might not be the best, but it should be better than stock. And i'm using arctic silver 5. We'll see what happens after the bios update (still...
