I have 2 new Dell PowerConnect 5448 switches that I want to use to replace our old 10/100 Dell 3348 switches. I will have to keep 1 or 2 of the old switches around for DR purposes and also to plug printers and VLAN 20 in to. We have a couple VLANs:
VLAN 10 is the private internal (PCs...
Thanks again for all the help.
I will occaisionally have to edit video and audio and do large find/replace functions in text files. I think I will go with the E8400 and get more RAM.
DSF - thanks for your help - I was speaking tongue-in-cheek
Thanks for all the info - very helpful.
DSF - thanks and good point. I hadn't thought of that. Those extra 166MHz's could make all the difference, however...
Howdy - I need a new PC at work and am wondering if I should choose an Intel quad or duo processor. I will mostly be using business apps but occasionally may need to do something where speed is important. I need to put Vista SP1 on there and also wonder if there is a difference in performance...
Howdy,
Does anyone know when the next E8*00 Intel processor might be released? I don't want to buy an E8500 if the next model is right around the corner.
Thanks.
Howdy,
I have a Gigabyte P965-DS3 which I tried to OC last night. It now will not POST. No beeps or any display. The fans and HDs spin but that's it. I've tried to clear the CMOS via the jumper and leaving the battery out overnight.
I need some suggestions about what to do now...

I need some help with manually setting the memory speeds. Here's what I've got:
DS3 w/ F7 BIOS

Auto settings are giving me 5-5-5-18 at (I believe 1.8v) I would like to get to 4-4-4-12, of course, but I need help (and I mean step by step 'cause...
I have a 2002 Elantra GT. I bought it new at the end of '02. I have yet to have a problem. I drive in rush hour traffic mostly and get 27mpg.
I think it's a great car for my needs (commuting).
Howdy - I would appreciate some advice.
I will be buying a mobo to go with a E6600. I don't need Crossfire or SLI and I won't be OC'ing. I want to know opinions regarding any performance increases I could expect by waiting for a new 590 board and/or even if the increase is worth the extra...
