Crucial PC2700 Overclocks!!

Not to be mean or anything, but I think you're wrong. Unless you were saying that using two sticks of RAM to get Dual Channel DDR, then whatever, but you said you run two sticks to get Double Data Rate... DDR = in ONE stick. The RAM works on the rising and falling edges. You're saying it works...

533MHz vs. 800MHz FSB?

What kind of stuff do yuo do on your computer? if it's mainly word processing, then you won't notice squat. If it's gaming, then the 2.4C should pull more FPS out of your video cards gluteous maximus. :D

Comparing Mac's G3 and G4 chips to Athlons and Pentium 4

Photoshop is optimized for use on the mac environment, isn't it? So that'd be like using a benchmark that is bias towards one processor over the other.

Best stepping for 2.4C for overclocking?

Is L=3, regarding the FPO/BATCH #? I have a 3317A392 2.4C and it's not too great. I would guess it's my RAM holding me back, but then again, it is BH-5.... The highest I could post was 3.6GHz, highest stable was 3.2GHz at 1.6v selected in BIOS, but ABIT undervolts, so whatever.

Should I get a 2500+ Barton or P4 2.4c

Eh...I like my 2.4C over any other AMD only because of these ridiculously high MHz/GHz displaying on my screen! I can post all the way up to 3.6GHz, but Windows will never load... If you are on a budget then go with AMD because it will give you THE BEST bang for the buck. Intel is best ...

My 9500 Softmod

Heh..I did that with my 9500 Pro (9500 Pro using 9700 Pro BIOS to overclock..). I got some nice scores, but my system was lacking in the CPU department so I could only get around 13k.

Saw this when I was applying for a job @ compusa. Great deals, but ends today :( There's a LOT more deals there and everything seems to be on sale or something. 5900 non-ultra also has the 20% I think.

IC7 supports DCDDR. What it doesn't support is integrated Intel CSA LAN and an extra 2 SATA ports.

1+3, 2+4, 1+2, 2+3, 3+4, 1+4. None of them give me DCDDR though...pisses me off. Maybe I have to have the exact SAME RAM? Like crucial/micron + crucial/micron? If that's the case thenI'll be selling my BH-5. Any takers?? :D
