DOA card?

Hi all, I've got a problem with a 9600 pro I just picked up from newegg for a friend's system- the sytem won't boot correctly, isn't giving any video output, and makes a quick series of beeps during POST... it's done this in both of the systems I've tried it in, one of which is my personal rig...

XP drivers for a phillips SPC 703?

Hi all, I'm having trouble getting my PSC703 to work with an upgraded windows XP box (the drivers CD has no XP driver), and I can't seem to find any decent XP drivers for it on the net (windows reports that they're corrupted). Does anyone have any idea why these driver wouldn't work with windows...

Need help with video card...upgrade to FX series or not?

I think that I'm running into the same problem you are with a gf3 ti200- any of the new detonators screw up my system and result in alot of crashes (to desktop or otherwise). Though I've got no idea how to fix this problem, reverting to the original manufacturers drivers fixes things for me...

Which to upgrade, my CPU or Video card?

I'd go with a video card upgrade- 32MB just isn't enough anymore. Fortunately, a 1.2 ghz CPU should be enough for the time being. --edit-- BTW, how much memory do you have? I wouldn't want to run anything under 384MB myself (just out of personal preference)- not to mention the fact that ram is...

Question about KT333 and overclocking

Sounds like Bs to me; I just built a system with an epox 8k3a+ and OC'd it from 1333 to a little under 1500 just for kicks (I should mention, however, that I just did this for kicks and didn't keep it OC'd for very long). From the setup of the Epox board, I'd say that overclocking was intended...

Whats the best VIA KT333 board?

I just built a system with an EPoX 8k3a (raid) and have nothing but good things to say about this board... stable, nice OC features, cool software, etc.

lookin for oppinions on the KR7A-Raid

I've got one... works fine and hasn't given me any problems other than incorrectly reporting 0 MB of RAM at POST (but this seems to have no adverse effect, and windows correctly reports the amount)... doesn't seem like anything a small BIOS update couldn't fix. Peace, IWG
