We recently got a "free" 2650 (some rewards program), and I like it. I'm far from discriminating and knowledgeable as a camera user, but I've no problems with it. Very easy to use, especially u/ling pics to the laptop. And I don't think it's bulky in the least.

Need a good deal on a modular CD-RW drive which will fit into the hot-swap drive bay of a dell inspiron 8000. Been w/o a writer for months now, and if any of y'all know of a good price (under $100 shipped, at the least) on a good unit, please do let me know.

So no one has anything to say about using this with a laptop? I don't know of any issues (aside from loss of portability, of course), but I wanted to check here first, just in case there's something I should know about.

I got 10 of these when I saw this post. 5 in one order, then 5 more in the 2nd order (felt like being greedy). I was concerned that the shipping, since it was free, would take a while. But I received all 10 on the 5th. When I opened them up, I was a bit disappointed at their packing method...

Yes: don't let it happen. If you paid by credit card, you've got recourse. After all, you paid in good faith. No reason why you should pay that much (or any) money just to ship their mistake. You really don't need them to agree with you, since you can just dispute the charge with the CC...
