I know they can't use the extra resolution, but I'd just like a way to watch them with reasonable image quality. The only method I've tried in the past results in a horrible picture from the conversion process.
Does anyone have a game system hooked to their monitor, either directly or through their computer?
I know the X-Box 360 will be able to hook up directly to a VGA monitor, but what about like a Playstation 2 or Gamecube that dosen't have that capability?
I know there are several methods...
This *has* to be a joke....right?
I've helped people too that think the computer itself is the "hard drive". The first time I had that happen I spent 10 minutes on the phone with some girl who wanted to move her "hard drive". I was desperately trying to figure out why. I asked her if the...
I still haven't played Deus Ex 2 (I've owned it for a year, just have a huge backlog of games to get through). The original is one of the best two games I've ever played. System Shock 2 isn't nearly as good, but still excellent and well worth playing if you can find it. In my experience SS2...
I've got a slightly weird situation on a web page. It looks like a CSS file that defines the "a" tag is defining it not only for links, but also for anchors. You can actually see the text used as an anchor displayed as though it were a link, which dosen't happen if the CSS file isn't loaded...
Okay, I think I sort of answered my question. From the Quota Entries screen, if you try to delete an entry, it pops up a window displaying the files associated with that user. From there you can delete files (or take ownership of them).
Talk about convoluted. Hopefully this will help...
Semi related question, how do I ?delete? a domain user from XP? Like a user that doesn?t specifically have an account on the machine, but rather has permission to log on because of his/her domain credentials. Is it as simple as just deleting their home directory (which would presumably get...
I've searched on here and the web and can't find an answer to this.
I'm setting up disk quotas in XP Pro, but can't figure out how to find all files from a particular user (so that I can delete stuff).
As an example, XP is showing that one particular user is utilizing 1.07GB of disk space...
Thanks! I turned it on (took about 10 hours), and my free space went from 150MB to 1.7GB. Not great, but it's something, and I've seen no problems so far.
Navid, I'm going to let it go for a while, but you're probably right that it'll end up a problem again. I'm not even sure what I'd set...
I?m managing a computer used by maybe 20-30 students running XP Pro, which only has a 10GB hard drive. Needless to say, it?s almost completely filled up (less than 150MB left, and that was after I went through and deleted some junk).
I could enable quotas, but for the most part I really...
I don't really have the option of sticking this in an entertainment center.
I went to Best Buy today to see what they have, and they do have a Toshiba RD-XS32 (with 80GB drive and DVD-RW) for effectivly $360, $20 less than a 40 hour Tivo. My head's telling me I should just get that, since it...
Thanks guys. I am SO tempted to pick a Series 2 up this weekend with my 10% off coupon, but I?m almost positive I?d end up returning it. My hearing is REALLY sensitive, and I don?t think I?d be able to use a unit that stays on all the time, even if it?s super-quiet. (That's why if I do buy...
Not sure where to ask Tivo related questions on Anandtech. IMO it might as well count as a computer question, but this way no one will get ticked off :)
Anyway, I had a VCR die on me, and I'm looking into my options for replacing it. (New VCRs don't have a tape guide, and I don't want to...
Okay, I've played with the x300se now. It defaults to arb2. R200 and NV20 look pretty much the same to me (although I wasn't seeing them side by side). arb2 adds neat-o heat effects, and probably other stuff.
I did notice that on medium quality the Radeon seems to be cheating with mip...
