+2 I totally agree, I still use the forums but never visit
the main page now as reviews elsewhere are more informative.
The CPU gaming benchmarks on Anandtech are especially
worthless and GPU limited and their sole purpose appears
to be to boost the word count.
Er hello?? The idea that somehow a 40 inch monitor
Is no more immersive than a 24-27 inch one is honestly
one of the most bizarre things I've seen written on this
forum. Your VR argument ignores the fact the smaller
screens are very close to your eyes. For me having
your field of view...
Don't buy Asus X99 deluxe. I've had three fail and two took the CPU with them whereas the Asrock X99 Fatality Killer 3.1 has been superb and has never been a problem. Asus X99 has been frying CPUs check Newegg forums etc. Also the Asrock board runs my memory at XMP (3000mhz) with a 4.5ghz OC...
Man up ffs! A fetid stew of decomposing comrades and the knowledge that you aren't going to live more that 30s should be all you need. Some of the 'best' war stories I ever read were from WW1. Bring it, I have my trench feet and trench club ready.
Please be ruthless kicking these idiot children off this forum. I used to enjoy coming here but it's turned into a teenager's bitchy chat room where you have to wade through a sea of pathetic back and forth sniping between sad little people. Off topic I know. Are there any clear indications when...
Ideally you want the two primary SLI/Crossfire slots (X16/X16)
to be extra slot paced apart. I've gone Asrock X99X killer, ticks all boxes (I'm a gamer who needs to OC) will report back.
Had four X99-S boards fail in seven months. Sent back to Overclockers UK initially and RMA was OK but last time after bios update progressive USB failures then no post. RMA was rejected due to 'bent pins' which I know weren't bent when sent as I took incredible care removing CPU and replacing...
My fourth Asus X99-S failed to post a week after a bios update and progressive failure of the USB slots and my RMA has been refused due to 'bent CPU pins'. I'm sure they weren't bent when I sent it but either way I won't be buying Asus again due to the nightmare I've experienced in the last...
I've had 4 Asus X99-S boards that have had problems,
one fried my cpu, sent back the last one after system won't post.
Overclockers UK said the last had bent pins when I RMA it which
Wasn't the case when I sent it but never an Asus mobo again.
Probably going MSI or Gigabyte as never had...
This optimism about an AMD CPU launch with new architecture is very sweet and endearing but I have zero faith they will launch anything decent. They used to under promise and over deliver but for a decade its been the other way around. Lately this philosophy has crept into their GPU launches.
