The only difficulty I see here, again, is for the uninformed consumer. We could care less if there's 10 more cards in different performance positions, since we always know what we want and can afford. If you think a 4860 is enough and you don't need the extra power from a 4870 or 4890, then...

Still not sure about Load Line Calibration

I know roughly what Load Line Calibration does, and the risks involved. But as I understand it, there shouldn't be a problem with using it with relatively low voltages. Is it safe to use 1.25V and Load Line Calibration on my Core i7? That's what I need to get 4GHZ stable.

It scales voltages up yea. I don't know on what basis but it could bump up your volts to 1.3V or above from my experience. LLC is Load Line Calibration, a feature in your BIOS. Use it for relatively low volts like 1.25V to stabilise and eliminate Vdroop. I need to either use LLC at 1.25V to...

What volts are you currently using? I strongly suggest not leaving CPU and QPI at Auto at these frequencies, that could bode terrible things. Try 4.0GHZ with 1.25 LLC enabled and go from there.

AMD beliefs: DirectX 11 Radeons pleasantly fast

Which means they could sell a new card that is terribly overengineered and overspec'd, and outperforms ATi's best card by a large margin, at half the cost of what the top-end card would normally cost, losing 50% of profit but effectively rendering ATi's entire card lineup useless.

Sennheiser HD280 vs HD497

An insane value would be the HD595 or HD555. Considering the price difference between them and the HD600 series, they are the best bang for your buck by a long shot. I can't speak for the HD497 as I never used it but the HD280 is a decent set.

Fair enough, I admit I wasn't aware of that. Still, I find it far fetched to make implications and recommendations on whether the "current" i7 or the "new" i7 will be a better buy. I think there will be a bigger divide between i5 and i7 than i7 and i7.
