How's the reliability on the lower end SSDs?
I've seen some $200 SSDs and I've been contemplating 'upgrading' (Space is not a concern). However I've seen quite a few reviews which seem to indicate a high failure rate?
Opinions please.
So, me and friend pool some money together to buy a few SSDs off ebay.
After I pay the scam artist, they drop off the face of the Earth and I have to open a claims against them in order to have them ship out.
So, while I?m away from the weekend the package shows up.
They drop kick it to me...
Hi all,
This is probalby a few very simple questions.
I have a bunch of older, AGP based computers and I was wondering if the older video cards support widescreen.
For example, I have a Matrox QID which does 1600x1200, Matrox has a software driver that allows it to do widescreen at...
Let's spent an hour and a half trying to get them to allow me to wire money to my idiot brother in China.
Failed miserably, got transfered around 6 times. I submitted the transaction 8 or 9 times under their guise. All failed. Then finally the security lady says to give it "5 minutes" (BS of...
Of the 3 the Fujitsu is the best choice.
Consider the weight:
Dell -> Weight: Starting at 5.39 lbs (2.45kg)
Toshiba -> 6.2 lbs
Fujitsu -> 1.98kg ~ 4.4 lbs
Dell is nice and affordable, and their tech support is a hit or miss proposition.
Toshiba I've heard nothing but horror stories...
Hi all.
I'm looking for a web host who doesn't care if I web crawl. I used to use Layeredtech for a while (for a different purpose) but I read in their TOS that they don't want webcrawling on their network.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks.
A lot of your writing sounds specious and subversive. I think you are trolling.
Or don't talk about subjects being flawed when you don't have a basic understanding of things.
Lastly, I haven't run across anything yet that wasn't an approximation of some sort in this world yet. Let me know...
I used to used layered tech on and off, but they seem to have gotten bigger and there are no more 60$ a month hosts.
Anyone know of a reliable cheap place? I don't need the lowest latency but dependability and low cost.
Thanks again guys.
Thanks dullard, +rep if it existed.
Exactly what I was looking for.
And thank you everyone else.
I somehow didn't think it was as easy as registering a domain name. :)
/thread.
Hi,
I'm curious if anyone has gone through the process of filing a patent?
I have a semi-worthless invention to try to invent.
Can you do it yourself? What pitfalls are there to watch out for?
Thanks,
Jay
Sorry,
I got this and another thread mixed up. (have the same thread running on another forum)
I forgot to mention I totally took the machine apart, so there is no dust problem. Sorry for the confusion.
I found the CMOS battery on the machine, would you know how to rest it? I tried to...
Thank you, but I swapped out the overgrown p4 for a p4m a long time ago, so the heat problem does not apply to me.
My problem as stated in the original post doesn't have anything to do with overheating directly.
At this point I just need to reset the CMOS before assuming something is...
Sounds very reasonable, I don't think there were any screws down there.
Sadly, the laptop seems to be fine W/O processor.
Does that suggest the socket is screwed?
Lastly, do you happen to know where the CMOS battery reset is for a Dell Inspiron 5100?
I can't seem to find anything that...
