    Many CRT TV's have the focus and master brightness controls on the exterior of the set for just this reason

    There are serious safety issues with opening a CRT monitor, this isnt a PC where the max voltage is 12V, There is a 30kV voltage applied to the CRT, and there may be as high as 1000V EXPOSED in the monitor.. Yea you can safely adjust it, but it is dangerous and alot of caution should be used

    You = smart A CRT is many times more dangerous than an opened computer powersupply, and is not user serviceable. Aircooled, if you are comfortable and careful making a few adjustments, more power to you :beer:

    no, but its your money to waste :D These are just simple adjustments, the set is new and likely doesnt need major calibration to show a very nice picture... If you want to go beyond these adjustments, have the set professionally calibrated.

    Dude, keep in mind, i charge $45 to walk in the door. Hot glue will not resolve his problem in the long term. If the yoke is rattling it needs to be opened and filled with RTV silicon sealant.
