I built my system recently and got a 4GB DDR3 kit for $99 at Amazon (OCZ 1600 mhz). So yeah, it's dropping fast. I just wish rebates would fucking die already.
How are noobs treated? I have loads of FPS single-player experience, and a fair bit of UT2004 experience, but no time in with TF2. Are noobs generally given a pass for screwing up while they're learning? :)
I own the Brother HL2140 laser printer. I got it for $49 at Staples last year, and I give it big thumbs up, especially at that price. It's a very solid printer.
I think this is a great deal ... but ... for cheapasses like myself, if you don't care about the text pad or the game, you can find XBL Gold 13 month cards out there for <$40. If you have a spare USB keyboard laying around you can use that for texting.
Still, a great deal for those...
I've had two 8800 GT's die within a week of each other. I wasn't pleased, and decided to go with ATI this time. I picked up a new VisionTek 4870 this week, and it's been fantastic so far.
Thanks, but ironically, I had canceled my order anyway. A friend of mine sold me an e6600 cpu and ASUS P5N-SLI mobo for $100 for both.
Hope folks here like the new $176 price tag for this great combo offer!
update: price has dropped to $176 shipped for both items.
I just picked up a new AMD Phenom 9950 quad-core retail CPU from Newegg for $235, and got a free Antec 300 case. Free 3-day shipping on both items!
$235 shipped for both. I just couldn't resist this deal...
I read this today after ordering the same card from Amazon yesterday (Sat) for $280. I went to Amazon today (Sun) to cancel the order, but it won't let me, stating the order is "in the process of being fulfilled" or somesuch. Grrrrr.... I'll try to call Amazon tomorrow and see if I can cancel...
