The size of a phone overall has a big impact on close you can get to the top left corner(when holding with your right hand). The taller and wider the phone is the harder it will be. I have average size hands for a 6 foot tall male and even a phone with 5" screen is too big for that.

Depends on your usage. 8am to 11pm is 15 hours. At that amount of time I would expect that you would get maybe 5 hours of screen on time. Maybe 6 if you keep brightness low and stay on wifi the entire time. If you do heavy power usage tasks like any amount of gaming then probably closer to 4...
