AGP Pro Tab?

That's exactly what I thought, just had to make sure (so I could have some clue as to why that mobo isn't working!@$#). Thanks though.

AGP Pro Tab?

I have an a7v that has been having some problems booting. I haven't been able to have it post, it just continously beeps. I have just read somewhere that taking the agp pro tab out of the agp port, then you will be forced to only use an agp pro video card. I have done this on accident *too...

Would onboard audio be any good???

I have the AC97, not only does it eat cpu resources, kill that whole not skipping idea, it distorts like a bitch (don't even try to add bass *lol*)

Variable bitrate MP3 and MP3-CD players

I personally use "-v --abr 192 -b 32 -B 320 -h" as my settings, to make it sound the best with minimal size (average 192k, with 320 max, and 32 minimum, high quality)..... Seems to sound almost EXACTLY like the cd.

It doesn't matter if I am running opengl or directx (I believe), since 3dmark is run on directx (right?), then I definately know that it is a directx problem. Defragging doesn't help, nor does closing all programs in the backround. I have tried it many times. I would say it was the hard...

It is not a ram problem, nor a speed problem (I can play the movies on a P-MMX200 and it runs fine), so maybe it is the drivers? I does this in any directx version. There isn't any mobo settings I can change to fix this?

That's what I thought, but DMA is enabled, and 64k reserved for dma transfers. The HD light barely flashes.

Do you have the computers set to run on those IPs? (TCP/IP properties in control pannel -> network), do you have file/print sharing on? Do they have the same protocols installed?

Tell me my brother is full of crap.

Try to change you login in network (control pannel). Change it from family login (or whatever it is on) to Windows Login. It shaves off about 30 - 40 seconds of startup time, because the NIC isn't looking for an address to connect to.
