i dont overlock anymore because it outdated

I undervolted too, to have sporadic closing of apps or hanging web browser tabs. It was either the SOC or CPU voltage having an offset too low. So i put back 2 steps in a negative offset and voila. Fully stable now. Yes it's more fun. The XFR/PB feature on a ryzen works just magic. You dont need...

Since my FX, every desktop that i had or use is up 24/7. The ryzen 2700x has'nt done nothing else.

I heard that the Ryzen Pro series are the ones actually binned better then the regular Ryzen's. Anyone tried these yet?

Intel CPU chip stacking and heat.

Intel tried that, it's called the Phi. It's like a big chip with a dozen of smaller cores but it kind of flawed after release. They pulled the plug. Having alot of slow cores seems logical but the way programmers tend to design programs are simply not ready for it. Look at the PS4's / Xbox CPU...

AMD RYZEN Builders Thread

Newer x570 boards seem to have 4000MHz support (OC mode) for Ryzen 3x series. Any idea why you need a newer board in general to have support for 4000Mhz ram besides the CPU having the IMC integrated into it? Does it have todo with paths / signalling levels and all that?

There's really no need to update the bios, if it does'nt offer fixes for your specific platform alone. It wont magically OC better either. Some fixes are really minor fixes and not the trouble to go through. Really, if it aint broke, dont fix it.

Eh? You could save the profile if you have a advanced board. I.e a preset you can give it a name like "WORKING" so whenever you put in a CMOS reset you reload the profile and voila, everything back to what it was.
