i'm not using a host right now....and RossMAN yeah i know i would be better off with that, but i'm just being cheap right now, and effectively i have the same thing for $0/yr.... i figure eventually i'll get a host for email and a real website (not just masking)...i just don't really want to...

Godaddy.com's private domain registration, anyone use it?

I have the same question....should i use private or public domain registration? I don't really care about the dollar or two extra for the service....mostly i'm curious about the implications. Also, I don't want to make up contact info...just as a personal preference. So do spammers actually get...

problems booting with promise ultra66, help please

Thanks for the replies. I've been having problems even though i'm booting without the boot drive attached to the drive. I tried simply attaching my spare hard drives and then my cd-rw drive. Nothing worked. I'll try updating the bios of the promise card, although i'm pretty sure i already...

adapter for monitor output to composite video?

is this conversion possible? i have a laptop and i want to be able to output the video on my tv. but my laptop only has a monitor output connection (DB15). does an adapter exist that will convert that to composite video (or s-video)? or do i need some sort of tv tuner to convert the signal...
