Noctua NH-U14S and i7 6800k

Is i5-750 as capable as the lastest i7 in gaming perfomance? Should I upgrade my CPU? Lets find out!

That score will certainly indicate that you can game well on that setup. However, you are definitely bottlenecking that card quite a bit. My FireStrike score is almost identical, and I have an RX480...a card half the price of your 1070. (Also, this run was with the GPU at stock speeds)...

Win 10 upgrade, clean install, still no action plan given ?

This sounds like a major pain. I was hoping to do the Windows 10 install and buy a new 500GB SSD to replace my 128GB SSD at the same time (thus keeping my Win 8.1 drive clean in case there's some big issue...I could then swap the old drive back in and have a working installation. It sounds...

4TB Hard Drive issue

I can certainly try this. One of the issues, though, is that when it's installed internally at the moment, I can't seem to do anything to it (can't delete partitions, etc., or access the drive for formatting or the like...it sees the drive exists, but I can't seem to do anything with it.)

What's the most reliable 512GB SSD for ~$300?

The difference in loading times in most games is a few seconds. Performance in the games won't matter at all. Is it really worth $2,000 to have ALL your games load a little bit faster?

Had my first (potential) Hard Drive failure in more than 16 years of PC ownership.

Yeah, I have been lucky. I have a cloud backup with Crashplan of all my important data (1.8 TB worth), so I always have a current backup, since it updates automatically and uploads any changed or new files. I also have several off-site backups from old hard drives, and an external hard drive...

I got my first computer (that was truly mine), in the summer of 1996. I've had probably 20 hard drives over the course of time from then until now, and none had ever failed. Some even lasted for 8-10 years before I retired them due to speed/size. And, well, it still might be OK...but I'm not...
