heat, crashes, old palomino 1900

All of a sudden I'm getting stuttering gameplay and crashes. The crashes sometimes look like a jumbled television test pattern. I was wonderign if the fact my 1900xp is idling at about 58-60C could be the problem. Do you think this is hot enough to cause instability?

How do you update your T40 (drivers)?

Last time I restored to factory defaults I let the pathetically slow java update manager run forever. I had a problem with it crashing. I beleive it was after I checked all the packages to install, and one of those pacakages crashed on me and brought the entire updating process to a halt. I was...

quiet PSU?

anyone have a good quiet PSU? i'm considering getting this "noise free" zalman from newegg. my current antec 400W is jet engine loud.

I'd take as little wattage as you need. The more the wattage the noisier it's going to be.

College Students, Computer Theft???

i think i took it to the library once or twice to work on a paper. otherwise it just sat locked down on my desk. mine is a ibm thinkpad t40 and takes up a pretty small footprint. my friend's desktops pretty much rendered there desks useless, where i had plenty of room with the laptop on there...

Could RAID controller cause drive to fail?
