I don't know about the Cache, but the Athlon has a few more execution units than the Pentium3 - supposedly the transistor gates in execution units get worked alot... thus the Athlon runs much hotter...
However, this is more a question for the Electrical Engineers.

Ok... I'm now seriously considering purchasing a Radeon LE. I have a few questions though...
(1) If I OC the card from 148 MHz to 166 MHz, do I need a fan on the heatsink?
(2) If you have owned a Diamond Viper V550 TNT card before, how does the 2D quality on the Radeon compare to the V550's...
kewl... as a kid I always wanted to buy my own system, but I never had the cash. Never paid for an entire system until this year - $520 for a Dell Latitude CPi P2-266. :)
