I was in the library flipping through a back issue of EE Times... and I found an article saying Sun Microsystems was working on a clockless computer... Anyone here think there could be a day we will call 'The End of GHz'???

Oh my... 17%??? Someone really should do some real world app tests with this DOS compatibility thing disabled. Maybe the P4 is more powerful than everyone first thought :D

Is the staggered L2 cache of the P!!! its secret to low heat emmissions?

I don't know about the Cache, but the Athlon has a few more execution units than the Pentium3 - supposedly the transistor gates in execution units get worked alot... thus the Athlon runs much hotter... However, this is more a question for the Electrical Engineers. 1 GHz Athlon ~ 54 Watts 1...

HELPPP! I have the AP European History test tomorrow, and I need to find a good website to study!

AP Euro... ah brings back such memories... I dunno if they changed the test, but it was ridiculously easy when I took it in May '99 Physics C was quite hard :( Here ya go for an AP Euro resource!!! Good luck!

Radeon LE ownerz - I need advice!

Ok... I'm now seriously considering purchasing a Radeon LE. I have a few questions though... (1) If I OC the card from 148 MHz to 166 MHz, do I need a fan on the heatsink? (2) If you have owned a Diamond Viper V550 TNT card before, how does the 2D quality on the Radeon compare to the V550's...

Classic System Thread!!! Post Specs!

kewl... as a kid I always wanted to buy my own system, but I never had the cash. Never paid for an entire system until this year - $520 for a Dell Latitude CPi P2-266. :) Oh, I forgot my dad's old AT and T. ??? MHz 8086 640K RAM 20 MB HDD 10" green-screen
