lock this- solved--new laptop power line loses power when it wiggles

Is the battery installed? Losing power from the cord should not force a shutdown if the battery is working properly on a laptop, it should just switch to battery power and at worst switch to a lower cpu mhz for power saving features. I think this is a major sign that something is wrong with...

Power management in dell 600m

if you did a reinstall of the OS or removed the dell quickset software you may have accidentally removed these options that they had added. Try reinstalling the dell quickset software and see if this helps.

Dell 600M VS Latitude D600

Dell usually lists all removable (ie upgradable parts) http://support.dell.com/suppor...en&s=dhs&cs=19 Unfortunately (and I have checked before) the graphics part of the system board and you will have to change the system board to change the graphics. The only 2 flavors of graphics...

Dell 600M VS Latitude D600

I believe the 600m can have up to 64mb video ram and the d600 can only have 32mb video ram, but my info may be old.

upgrading cpu for dell 700m

dell user guides usually show all removable parts http://support.dell.com/suppor...ns700m/en/SM/index.htm the cpu is not listed as a separate part as it usually is in cases where it is upgradable/removable.
