I believe that threadripper popularity will lower even more now with the availability of 16 cores on am4. Threadripper will be a really niche market.

Yeah the Armor is smaller, the heatsink is smaller. The Gaming one clearly have better feedback from the users.

The RX 570 underclocked seems a much better deal than a GTX 1050. You say it's an option in BIOS ? Can we underclock it with amd software or msi afterburner? Haven't played with those for a while

I've been upgrading my computer one component at a time. I kept most of my components for 5 years (a record for me !) with my overclocked Core I5 2500k build. Last year I changed motherboard, CPU and RAM only to a Threadripper 1950x. I have now upgraded all my SSDs to nVME and Intel Optane. So...

Price per GB, true, it costs more. BUT: 900p 280Gb can cost less than a 512GB 970 Pro, if you sell the code for the ship on eBay. That's what I did 10 months ago.

The quickest is not MLC, it's 3DxPoint, but for transfer rate it can be faster on MLC or TLC.
