The RX 570 underclocked seems a much better deal than a GTX 1050. You say it's an option in BIOS ? Can we underclock it with amd software or msi afterburner? Haven't played with those for a while
I've been upgrading my computer one component at a time. I kept most of my components for 5 years (a record for me !) with my overclocked Core I5 2500k build. Last year I changed motherboard, CPU and RAM only to a Threadripper 1950x.
I have now upgraded all my SSDs to nVME and Intel Optane. So...
Price per GB, true, it costs more. BUT:
900p 280Gb can cost less than a 512GB 970 Pro, if you sell the code for the ship on eBay. That's what I did 10 months ago.

You can see there that the performance is amazing until a certain point where it drops at a lower level than the SX8200
