Anyone try MSI's new board-MSI RS480M2-IL

I'm curious if other owners of this MB using WinXP have problems with Cool and Quiet like hans007 is having with win2k? I'm interested in this board, and would like to use CnQ. Thanks.

Is this Panaflo 92mm mid-speed BX 3 pin fan 48cfm and 30 dBa - (speed sensing?)

digikey panaflo fans see FBA section page 2 I have used panaflo BX fans (60mm one) from the above source which had proper RPM sensing. Never did find an 80mm L1BX though in my travels ... hope this helps.

Anyone know when the NEW Antec Super Lanboy 350 case will be available?

The Super Lanboy with 350 PS at newegg? I only find the one without PS Nice case though. or maybe the P160 .... Thanks for the info AntecCSR

Would it be possible to have wireless internet on a Shuttle SFF system?

I was thinking of something like this usb dongle thingy (there are many other brands). I actually have something like this, which attaches via usb. No power cable. Psycho's link looks like a usb wireless slickified to mount internally with an external antenna. Looks pretty good for 50 bucks.

USB wireless? That's what I use. It's better than PCI because you can orient the antenna for best signal. Or is that something hanging off that you don't like? Edit: There is also a little doohickey that looks like a USB flash drive that is a wireless adaptor. Never used them... No cable...

Anyone know if this duct cooling works?

Fans 101 seems reasonable, but I sure wish there was good data available to us lay people without each one of us doing our own experiment. The parrallel vs series is discussed all the time, for example. Given the number of heatsink reviews, I would think there would be a comprehensive look at...

where can I buy one of those 7volt pre made adapters for fans?

another vote for the sunbeam or fanmate (got them both). It's <U>really</U> nice to have the variable speed control.

Problem installing Zalman CNSP7000-Alcu

I suspect your MB autoshuts down unless it detects RPMs on the CPU fan header. Maybe 2400 RPM isn't enough to register (which is true on some boards I own). My MB (8k5a2+) has an option to turn that off. You could test that by leaving your Volcano plugged into the CPU fan header and running...

AMD OEM Heatsink on Intel Celeron 1.3?

The only thing to consider is the height of the CPU. The P III/Celerons with the IHS are taller. For example, Alpha made a special clip for CPUs with the IHS because of this. But on advice from someone who tried it, I still was able to install the 6035 on a celeron 1.3 using the regular clip...

Yes. You would need the final adaptor to hook it directly to the PS. As far as splitting the 3-pin connector, I'd only do it if you have very low wattage fans (< 2 watts each, though some MB headers are able to provide more juice). Since you don't have RPM monitoring , it would be safer just to...

Yes, you can use panaflo's with the zalman speed controller. The third wire is a RPM signal from the fan so the motherboard can monitor the fan. It doesn't actually affect the fan speed. It works well with the L1A. You can really make the fan silent (of course it moves less air). You could...

Speedfan program question

I've seen this a few times on more than one motherboard. I'm pretty sure temp2 is measuring nothing. 127 probably is a default number (presumably in binary) when the sensor isn't hooked up. Feel free to correct me.

ATI and HDTV ?

Not pretending to know much, but I believe the HDTV analog input is YPrPb, and not RGB as for a computer monitor.

No RPM reading for 80mm NMB Ultra Quiet 3-pin fans?

I've never had the RPM work on mine, and I've had other fans which spun at 1000 RPM, so it isn't the MB. No solutions that I'm aware of.
