HVR-1800 BSOD's in XP Pro

aye did that. no change. could there be a bios setting or something im missing? mobo is an MSI K8NGM2-FID (AMI bios ver 350) with 2GB of GSkill Ram. I have a peripheral codec pack installed. Could that or the onboard video be causing the crashes?

HVR-1800 BSOD's in XP Pro

I've tried to scan both digital and analog in WinTV 6 and the BeyondTV trial with the same result. The scanning process starts but then crashes at about 5-8% into the scan. Help please.

Only thing bad about my setup is that I can't seem to keep the 4x512 stable at ddr400, and on auto settings it defaults to ddr333 at 2T command timings. Quite annoying, but only a minor issue that could be cured by some high branded pc3200. A 2x1GB config would be much better tho for...
