Thanks for the insight. I'll just just get a better HSF once I upgrade my processor.

Sorry, I figured people would find enough details in my sig. The new HSF (Thermaltake TMG i2) attaches with the same mounting mechanism as the stock Intel HSF (i.e. four plastic doohickies that pop down into holes and lock into place). Socket 775. Specs as seen below: Gigabyte...

Well, the title pretty much sums it up. I'm wondering if I need to undo everything and take the mobo out of the case in order to change the HSF. Thanks in advance.

I appreciate the many suggestions. Red Orchestra sounds like it's right up my alley. I'll try to check it out this weekend (can you rent PC games? lol). Last night I played around with Insurgency and thought it was pretty realistic and very cool for a beta FPS. I think I'll hold off on that...

I am never playing CS:S again.

I think I'm more impressed by how fast you were in and out of the bathroom. Assuming you began doing your business at the completion of the previous round of CS; that was one 1337 deuce.

Lets see... Joined random pub; took out 7 rushing CT's on Aztec with pump shotty; 4 headshots; banned from server in less than one round. Priceless.

Okay, first and foremost I think I'll try Insurgency and P.R. Both operate on game engines that I already own, so I'd might as well give them a go before purchasing another game. I checked out the media for both, and they do look pretty good. At first glance I'd say Insurgency looks like it...

Um, the little square brass heatsink on the motherboard fell off..

Thank you, sirs. I'm going to be a cave dweller this weekend and horse around with the new machine. Can't wait to get off work! Throw in a $17 OEM dvd-rom drive, Arctic Silver 5, some ties and a couple SATA cables and it came to $840.00. All from Newegg. I'm sure if I had froogled...
