NTFS vs. FAT32

Hmm after reading that, I still dont understand the overall difference between the two. I mean yes it lists the differences between the two, but overall, what is NTFS used for and what is FAT32 used for? I mean I get that NTFS is probably the one most people use because I mean all those features...

Any way to remove a hard drive password?

Why exactly does it prompt for a password whenever you try to boot to it, did you set one yourself earlier? Try going into the BIOS and seeing if there is some option to "reset passwords" ive sceen it on some BIOS for some comps and not for others, maybe yours will have the option?

Newbie Hard Drive questions (partitions)

When I created a partition on my drive and tried to install vista on it, it told me it only worked with "NFTS" formatting or something. So I went to gparted and "formatted" the drive to NFTS and was able to install the OS. Was wondering, what exactly does formatting mean? And why were there like...

Does overclocking really replace a $1000 dollar chip?

Considering water cooling?

I have an q6600 and an abit ip35-e and overclocked it to 3.6 at 1.5v and ran it on prime95 for 10+ hours with no errors but see very high temps (70C) with an arctic freezer 7 pro and an p182. In addition, i can't seem to go past 3.6 without having some random reboot that I have no idea what to...

Reboot while overclocking?

I have a q6600 and an ABIT IP35-E and was able to oc to 3.6 at 1.5v on prime95 for 10 hours but at high temps between 68-73C. However when I set my fsb to 405 or 410 or 415 (with multiplier 9) after running prime for less then a minute, my comp automatically reboots and i cant seem to figure out...

Lapping?

Was wondering, where exactly do you find high grit sandpaper and glass? The homedepot close to my place sells grit of only 600, is this sufficient, or do I need a higher grit to sand my cpu and heatsink? Also, where exactly do you find glass and how much does it cost? I have not yet gone to home...
