The wireless card I purchased with my XPS is the Dell 1450. The driver on the disk is for the 1350. Just download the correct driver from Dell and you will be good to go.
Subtract $100 from that price if you install the card yourself. Once you order the card, you need to call Dell and cancel the installation. So, the upgrade is well worth the price considering the possibility of another card is not good.
Do a complete format, I have found that to help from time to time. I would pull the nic and modem if you are getting hardware errors. Might even want to pull one of the sticks of ram as well. You could be having problems there even if your not overclocking.
