Most mystical rebooting problem ever

Well.... What do I know... I followed Kazani's advice and got rid of the APC UPS. (As soon as I did, the UPS started beeping and blinking its lights indignantly, demanding that every part of it be replaced.) Without the UPS, I have not had a single reboot so far, going for 2 days now. So...

Possible warning on Opty 144/146/148 Etc...

Looks like Monarch no longer has the 146 in stock.. they list an ETA of 12/16 with no guarantees. Thanks to this thread, I got my 146 CABYE 0540 FPAW from them in time, now running @ 2900MHz 1.48V with quiet 7-volted cooling. :) Kudos to TankGuys.

Just got my 146 from Monarch. It's a CABYE :D 0540 FPAW. On Friday I'll get the remaining parts and see what it can do..........

Good thing I saw this thread... I immediately ordered a boxed 146 from Monarch (Saturday night), wondering if they really have any left in stock. They had a weird problem processing my order (which increased the tension a bit!) Now I just got notified of shipping -- it should be here this...

[FIXED] P4C800E + 2.6C persistently locks up in MemTest

Now cooking stable at 3.033ghz (default VCore) with 466mem @ 2.5-3-3-6-4 @2.65V, PAT/Turbo mode enabled. (I'm using 1GB OCZ 3700 Gold pair like Anand's review - it works as Anand suggested. Going above 242fsb (3146mhz) required raising VCore, so I'm afraid my CPU cannot go much higher than...

My last failed attempt - underclocked at 1733mhz (133fsb) with 333mem. At this point, the CPU consumes something like <50watts max. I'll just have to try my other CPU..

[FIXED] P4C800E + 2.6C persistently locks up in MemTest

I've tried as conservative as it gets - 266mhz at cas 3448 and 2.5-337. At this point I'm seriously doubting that the memory has anything to do with it. I am starting to sustect the mobo (or even CPU) may just be defective... I'll swap in a P4/1.6A later tonight and report what happens..

Crashed again - using Corsair at 266mhz this time! Whatever it is, I doubt it's the memory causing these problems. I'll try swapping in a P4/1.6A later tonight.

In my current setup, actual power consumption is way less than 150watts, so I doubt the PSUs are the problem. Both PSUs support P4 and the Seasonic worked in my previous 100% stable P4 rig. Trying Corsairs @ 2.65v asus (probably 2.7 actual -- they dont like more juice)..

EDIT: Fixed by Yourself's advice - disabled Legacy USB support in the BIOS. Please take note for the future! I am building a new rig using Asus P4C800E-deluxe with retail P4/2.6C, and cannot get even a single pass of MemTest86 (ver3.0 booting from CD) to complete without locking up. The CPU...
