Need help backing up Apple HDD from command-line

Well, apparently i'm getting the same input/output error with ditto as well. But it seems like we do have a copy of DiskWarrior, i just have to track down who has it so i can use it! Thanks for all the help!

That sounds like what i need to do. But do you know how i would mount the Firewire drive? Like what command? EDIT: NM, i see there are instructions at the bottom! Gonna try it now! Thanks!

No other Macs available. But how would i pull the drive from a Macbook anyways? Aren't they sealed tight and opening it up voids the warranty? And i already said i tried Disk Utility and i get a input/output error when i try to back it up.

I have a Macbook that won't boot into the OS, not even safe-mode. Disk Utility won't image the drive either, i get an error when i try. But i can boot to command-line with Apple-S, so i'm at what looks like a bash shell. I also have a Firewire drive connected to the Macbook that i want to...

Getting tired of Skyrim already. Characters are wooden, quest fatigue.

I am EXACTLY like you OP! Bioware RPGs i play through at least twice, and i can barely finish Bethesdas games. I too am getting tired of Skyrim, and i'm only level 26. You should look into Star Wars: The Old Republic. That is KOTOR and Mass Effect turned into an MMO. It is fantastic!

I think the next generation is going to involve more than those 3 players. I think Google and possibly Apple will be competitor in that space as well. Android and iOS has already proven that they can deliver games on those platforms, and they're both attempting to move into the living room...

No, i caught it when you said revenue, i just ignored it because that's a pretty dumb metric. What's the point in having more revenue when you're losing money? The hardware is more expensive. The games are more expensive. The service is more expensive. So ya, i would expect them to have more...
