help with file recovery

hey guys, a friend asked me to help with file recovery of 5 files - 3 excel, 2 word. they were deleted and they used Recuva to get the file, but I guess after recovery, office won't open the files (say they are corrupted). any ideas? thanks... i'm using office 2003 and have tried open/repair...

Crisis temp adverted. Urgent Hot water heater issue. Need some help.

knob to feed line or master water valve (which will shut off water to the whole house). also hose to drain the whole thing if you want in to stop dripping. the bottom pan might be leaking, which happened to me. happens when heaters get older.

B&M store for solid state relay?

hey, looking for a soild state relay at a somewhat cheap price ($15-20). does anyone know where they can get them locally, i've tried radio shack (only had normal relays) and home depot but no luck thanks

yet another car noise question

the frequency seems to change with the rpm. once it goes away, it seems to stay away until i restart the car.

yet another car noise question

hey guys, noticed a weird noise on my 99 mercury sable. it is a metallic clicking coming from around the serpentine belt area. it's noticeable from park through 60mph or so, but once i get on the highway and cross 75mph and 2.5k rpm, it goes away until i restart the car. any ideas? the noise...
