Heatpipe CPU cooler facing downwards OK?

Does anyone know how mounting a heatpipe cooler like the Arctic Cooling Freezer Pro would be if it is mounted so that it's facing downward? I have my system mounted to the underside of my desk, so the CPU faces directly at the floor. I've had no issues with my P4 rig with a Zalman heatsink on...

Ram timings? I'm confused...

Thanks for the replies guys. I got down to benchmarking last night and so far I'm running a 230fsb and the ram is at 2.5-3-3-5. Quite happy with it so far. My sticking point is my P4 3.0E though. It craps out at 235fsb.. I guess I'll try upping the vcore...

PC2700 Ram for a P4 3.0E?

I'm in the process of upgrading my box. Right now I have a P4 1.6A (oc'd to 2.4), 1GB Samsung pc2700, and an Asus P4P800S. I'm looking at getting a P4 3.0E, but right now I can't afford to get new ram to go along with it. Will the pc2700 be a problem? Or can I deal with it for now and get higher...

Silent System

Same here. Awesome PSU. Truely silent as opposed to other so-called "silent" and "whisper" PSUs. I teamed that PSU with the Zalman heatpipe for my ATI 9700Pro, and the Zalman flower heatsink for the P4 1.6A @ 2.4 and my system is dead silent. That's without a case, (I have my system mounted to...

RAM: lower CAS or more MB? Which is better?

Hmm.. Well, I have dual monitors so I was able to watch it real-time. Only when playing BF1942 did it ever go over 512MB and only by about 20MB. Everything else only bumped it up to about 475MB. So it looks like for now, I will go for the higher speed, 512MB route. Maybe once HL2 hits the stores...

RAM: lower CAS or more MB? Which is better?

I was just wondering, which is generally better for overall performance on a P4 2.4C system? 1GB of PC3200 ram (CAS2.5 or 3) or 512MB of PC3500 ram (CAS2)? Both would be with using two sticks to make the total so as to use them in dual channel mode. Thanks.

Thanks for the opinions guys, I think I may just hold off for now. If the PRescotts are insanely expensive, I can just go for the 2.4C anyways and probably get it cheaper then as well.
