Construction calculators have dedicated fraction functions, and they're more pared down, so there isn't a bunch of useless stuff. Depends on what you're doing though. Trig functions can be very useful in construction, and hardly anyone knows them. You can solve a lot of problems with triangles.

I /think/ it may be at the top, or in a sidebar, but I don't remember. Like I said, I found it easy to ignore. It also isn't posted on every search. You only get an ai answer if they think it's useful by whatever metric they use. You won't see it all the time, even if enabled.

Not sure if you're aware, but DDG has ai also, though you can turn it off in the settings. I did. I'm hoping it saves some cpu cycles, but I don't know how it's implemented. Otherwise, I found it easy to ignore. I left it on for awhile in case it was useful, but you can't trust anything it tells...

I thought the era of credit card companies moronically / randomly rejecting transactions was over...

I've paid in currencies other than USD. Paypal makes the conversion, and you pay whatever. I have no idea if the conversion rate is favorable or not, but the sums are so small it doesn't matter. If you have a problem with paypal, I'm not sure how you pay. I've always used them.
