ok thanks guys.. makes sense that it might be interference from other signals around the condo. I'll take your advice and do a scan to make sure I'm using the least used channel

Hey guys, Wondering if you can help me out. I have a flashed Linksys WRT54G v3.1 router. I am running Brainslayers v24 dd-wrt firmware. I have a Comcast cable HSI. On my wired desktop I am getting 24-27Mbps. On Wireless I am getting about 8-10Mbps. Tests were done using speedtest.net...

Recommend a HD Movie Streaming Device

I got the latest WD TV Live streaming and it does a good job of playing just about any format. My brother has the boxee box and I got to say I like the remote and interface a lot better than my WD TV. It also costs about twice as much.

I certainly appreciate all the replies on this thread.. I think most people have raised valid points and I can see the arguments both custom built pc's vs ones like Dell. I guess everyone has different scenarios as well where one may be more suitable over the other. I used to love building...

Age old debate AMD vs Intel

i dont understand why a 200 dollar board is bad either.. i got the ud3r and it has been rock solid.. i got a combo deal for 6 gig ddr3 and the ud3r for $230. i would say don't spend more unless you really need to

computer powers up wont stay on.. help?

thanks guys, it was the PSU. weird, in the past my bad psu's wouldn't event turn on... I guess this one was getting there and just had enough juice to initially boot up. again thanks for the help!
