I should also note that I have a 512GB Sata III SSD drive to add to the system (benefit from work). In order to achieve the benefits I would have to add a PCI card that supports 6Gb/s or new motherboard.

Thanks for the reassurance. I thought it would be. I am investing a lot of my time and money to get them back on their feet. Go more into my bank account is something I am about to draw the line at. Hopefully, the new system will help them get back on the right track with tax season coming up.

Sapphire 5850 BIOS backup

OK, I got my BIOS backed up. I was stupid. I have my 5850 overclocked now with an unlocked bios. For stability testing and determining the best OC, what GPU temp do you want to stay under? I am currently at 950/1200 with a temp of 75^ steady running ATITool 3D

prices on 5850s seem to be climbing

Well, what do you expect? You can get 5870 performance for $120 less. If the demand is so great and they cannot keep them in stock, why not raise the price. People are getting 900/1200 timings out of their OC. Those numbers are from memory and they could be slightly higher or lower...

Core i7 860 OC and Heat
