Late to the game here, but check your sound settings. They have to be factory normal (sorry, I am at work and don't recall what those settings are.... 44kHz, 16bit, etc.) I spent a TONNE of time combing the web for that nugget earlier this year. I bet if you change that it will work just...

Best gaming headset?

Good pick on the Sennheiser. I went through several of the Logitech crap type gaming headsets before landing on Sennheiser and have loved every last minute of it. Is there something better out there? Yes, but not at this price. Even bought a pair for my wife. And if anyone else is...

how do u properly use prime95

I used to run Prime95 "Custom FFT" min: 2058 max: 4096 I found that identified errors much quicker than the existing pre-canned setting. Give it a try. I think many of the old timers would concur that it was the setting that lit up a CPU the fastest and found errors the quickest.

AMD Athlon XP 1400 Overclocking

What video card for WoW?

First of all, I am waiting for the post that states "my GF looked at how nice my screen was and now I have to choose, my computer or my GF" :) But seriously, for a cheap alternative, a Ti4200 128MB 8x (for ~50) would run this game quite well. If you really more then try a used 9600pro or xt...

Replaced TI4600 with GT6600...............

Your CPU is bottlenecking somewhat yes, but only somewhat. I think the consensus is try 3DMark03 and that will give you the answers you need.

Suggestions on new computer parts

Sonata is a great rig, esp with the True380 in there. I have to agree, with this all in all, this would be the best money most well spent.

Been a bit of a while for me as well: Mobiles overclocked can come close to stock A64 chips (just under a A643200 IIRC). There was a site that did this comparison, but I do not recall what it was. That was about where things stood though. A mobile 2200 and a decent motherboard should keep...
