Why did you have to empty the sump pit to replace the pump? I could swear when my father in law and I did it it only took about half an hour and we basically just cut the pvc and put the sump pit in and added and cemented new pvc.
I have to (re)build a 10x8 deck. The deck adjacent to it is the original deck that came with the house (about 15 years old) and amazingly well built. The deck that I'm rebuilding is an extension of the original deck. So on one side it'll just be an extension of the original deck, and on another...

So, uh, how can I tile my shower if its the walls arent plumb? Here are a few pics of what I'm talking about. Shower has been kerdied (by me, i suck, i know). Any suggestions would be appreciated.

So when I'm doing corners, for example the corners between the back and side walls, how should I do 'em? Go all the way to the side wall and then have the side wall go almost all the way up to that? Or both just shy of the corner? It may be that I'll just hire someone to do it, but then maybe...
