Question Moving subnet from 192 to 10. Gateway

I'm moving my Orbi wireless network from a house with a 192. Gateway router to a house with a 10. Router (FiOS to Xfinity). Can I just change my Orbi hub address to 10.0.0.2? It will run DHCP for the house, and I have all of my devices' MACs mapped and named in its device listing. Thanks

I have an iCloud ultra NAS and it seems to run hot. I've turned on power saving measures to reduce heat since it doesn't do a lot unless I'm streaming one of the few videos I store on it, but it still seems to spin a lot and get hot. I was thinking of adding a case fan to the top to move more...

Question Windows 10 cannot see WD NAS

I'm having problems getting my windows10 machines to see the WD NAS I have (MycloudUltra). It has worked in the past but has stopped for some reason. This machine is running Windows 10.1803. I read that there are SIMBA version issues with windows 10 and have tinkered with the SIMBA settings on...

Question Msi z370m cover on ports

SOLVED: The z370m had a WiFi card built into the board. There us a plug-in attachment that links to two screw in antennas at the IO panel. In order to install this attachment, you have to remove the motherboard since the IO dustcover is attached to the MB with a screw underneath. Sorry about...

Question Msi z370m cover on ports

I bought a pc with the above MB in it that did not have a WiFi card installed. To install it, I need to get a plastic cover off the inside of the ports so I can install the antenna connectors. Do I need to pull out the MB to get that off? Or does it snap off. I didn't want to force it.

Thanks that worked. I can run the video card in the second slot. Don't think I'll be going SLI anyhow. Actually. Looking at your case comment reminded be too double check that clearance. I'm stepping down to the 12 which should be fine.

Question I'm looking for a CPU cooler for an i7- 8700k

I picked up a NH-U14S today and it seems like a really tight fit. I'm going to step down to the 12 to get a little more room for the video card. Turned one way it collides with the RAM. Turned the other way, it sticks pretty close to where the video card will sit when I get it tomorrow.

Actually that is going to be too tall. I'll try the u line. Thanks for dialing me into the Noctua products. I just need to figure out the best form factor. I suppose they have a product finder. I'll do more digging tomorrow after work.

Thanks. The one thing I need to double check is ram clearance with both banks full. I might need to consider one of noctuas c class coolers (NH-C14S).

Question Sizing PSU for build

OK, so I bought a Corsair RM650X I was thinking about a 750, but figured that was overkill. My thought was minimizing heat, but I'll get a lot more heat out of the CPU and GPU, so I shouldn't worry beyond the fact that I bought a decent PSU. Thanks for the sanity check. Marc

Question Sizing PSU for build

Thanks. My thoughts were actually about possibly going to to 750 to keep the psu at the lower end of it's range. My case will be a little small as it will be in a shelf under my tv, and I'm trying to minimize heat where I can. I suppose a 650 will be ok and I can spend the difference on a fan.
