I would definetly not be opposed to OC. I would go software before hardware because I have never done a harware OC before. Quiet is better. I might use this machine for music production. I could shave off the monitor and the 120gb drive. (Have a few extras here)

MandrakeMove is as you say 'user friendly'. It is much more so than Knoppix imo. I believe it is inteded primarily to 'demo' but I will use it because it is fast and has some decent programs (A real telnet is nice for my Cisco classes too).
To me, Knoppix seems more bloated than MandrakeMove...
