GeForce GTX 480 noise levels bunked

I am happy I kept my PA120.3, it makes getting 2 480s more palatable. No need to worry about this noise nonsense. FWIW I've had an FX 5900 gainward golden sample. Still have it too, NOTHING is louder than that card. I PROMISE. It sounds like a dirtbuster.

Why the undying love for nvidia?

nVidia was the reason I found my love for computers. I don't love them because of their brand, I love them because they've always tried to do better. I believe they will be one of the biggest players in the next 20 years. They remind me of the most important company in technology in history...

AT fermi review is up!

Don't worry. They'll scale much better in a few driver releases. nVidia is still working on the software. The hardware has yet to be fully tapped because I'm pretty sure they haven't fully optimized the code paths.

^ what he said. It's not *impossible* to have linear performance, but it sure is hard in the real-world to do so. You can try, but the amount of optimization defeats the purpose of a good API.
