disk imaging/conversion

My first attempt was using DriveImage XML and while it seemed to work, ~40 minutes later my final drive was a mangled mess with no proper directory structure. I'm trying to copy an old fat32 drive to ntfs, however I am trying to keep the directory structure/date stamps intact, normal copy...

Zalman 2HC2 performance question

What type of cooling does this provide? I've got a drive (seagate ST3160023A) that sits in the 45-60c range and would like to get it down to a more respectable level (especially the upper end.)

Thanks for the thoughts, I was going to revise my selection to a number of choices - however I just ordered a refurb one from nm-select. I wanted to stick to an AG monitor, so that right there ruled out the 997 (which is a good monitor, I just wanted to get better, my fault for waiting until...

I was originally set on the nec 930sb but this model is now defunct and can't be found anywhere, what would be a good enough comprimise? I'd LOVE to be able to have 1600x1200@85hz.

Now that these monitors seem to be vanishing, I think I should snag one as fast as possible before they're all gone. Anyone know a good reliable place to get a NEW one? newegg/mwave don't show it, nor does the place I was looking at purchasing one awhile back.

epox 8KRAI-X - worth it?

My 8K3A has bulging/leaking capacitors, I contacted epox and they have an "rma upgrade" to the 8KRAI-X for $30 (newegg offers it for 44+5 shipping) so the price isn't bad. Both boards are via based, (kt333 to kt600) so it should be a painless swap as far as windows is concerned. I haven't...

How long does an RMA normally take to process?

My replacement drive was ordered on 9/27 shipped on 9/28 from malasya (I think) and I believe I got it on oct 1st. I did an advance replacement, but after 2 weeks you should have the drive by now. You might get a better answer calling and talking to a person. edit: YMMV on getting a...

Last I knew WU's money orders are still international. (USPS specifically states their money orders are only for use in the us or its territories) My local grocery store sells them for 49 cents, $15 is a ripoff.

HELP HARD DRIVE PROBLEM!!

dopefiend: just a few minor corrections fat32's "standard" cluster size is 32kb (64+ was only doable on NT (3.51 or 4, not sure which) for a drive 32gb or greater, 32gb being the cutoff point in windows 2K/XP. The maximum file size fat32 can support is 4gb (some programs may not like...

Who's naming scheme is the stupidist

I voted the third options just.. because. :) Both of the labeling schemes are pretty awful. First we had the mhz ratings which were somewhat useful back in their days, but nowadays most improvements will be had with core changes to the processor or fsb speed rather than just making the part...
