I've been trying to squeeze the maximum stable clock out of this chip for days, and therefore the best bang for the buck, and the absolute top I could do with this setup is 3.9Ghz prime stable. I can boot @ 500x8, but it hangs just after few seconds in orthos. THis is almost 50% OC for E6750 on...
You have an old, incorrect version of COreTemp with Tjunction at 85C. Download CoreTemp 0.95.4 and it'll give you the correct reading. I have the exact same chip, packaging, and i hit 3.9Ghz 24/7 prime stable on air.

memory passed 50 loops on memtest #5 at 500Mhz and 2.2v. 5-5-5-18-2T.
I can boot to windows at 501 but orthos freezes comp after justfew sec. No matter if i raiesed NB SB or VTT voltage as well as cpu voltage.
This is teh highest stable
guys i found the problem... i used coretemp 0.95 which i thought its the latest.... but its not version 0.95.4 is the latest and it reads real temps which are 15C higher. Still 51C at 1.42Vcore is great in my book.
ok I'll chip in...
My E6750 WIth Thermalright Utra-120 Extreme Runs 39C full orthos load @ 3.8GHz and 1.43Vcore. At 4Ghz under Orthos it runs at about 45C at 1.56Vcore.
The point is, Utra-120 Extreme will certainly NOT limit your overclocking. It will most likely be the CPU, mobo, or ram top...
Serpent, I think I'll stick with stable 3.8Ghz 375x8 @ 1.49V (1.43 Win) as it is 24/7 orthos stable. The other voltages are all default, memory is 2.1V. Temps ar 39C full load orthos 10min read from COreTemp 0.95.4 .
Serpent, tell me one thing... What is the difference in "Priority" setting in...
ok. Raised the vcore to 1.56, northbridge up 2 notches and southbridge 1 notch, but orthos crashes after 2 minutes.
HEre is the screenie 4Ghz
Serpent, what should i change to make it stable?
