Lords of the Fallen. Next Gen Blade of Darkness, or Dark Souls?

I still play through blade of darkness every year or two, probably my favorite PC game of all time. Looks like this could be decent. It's missing the dismemberment though, haha. That was a huge part of the blade of darkness experience IMHO.

I agree with dud one this one. If you continue to buy games from publishers using draconian DRM, you ARE supporting DRM and just invested in your own issues if it comes down to that. Only money talks with these guys. Also, someone above said we just have to be vocal about it. I agree, but only...

Yeah exactly. The lesson here is don't buy games that require you to always be online. Only by not buying them will we send a message to the publisher that we don't support that BS. Ubisoft changed their always online policy real quick after they realized it was hurting them more that solving...

The Stanley Parable

I read a review of this one last week on IGN and was planning on grabbing it. Thanks for you mini-review here, makes me want to try it out even more. I'm a big fan of the original Portal, and also Dear Esther, so i'm sure i'll like this game.

Thi4f becomes plain old Thief, reboot coming in 2014

They do, but then publishers want to take that idea and make it a sequel to an older title. Cuz that stuff "sells"..

Yeah, I agree with this. It looks kind of cool if you wanted to play shooters from the couch, and in that regard, I think it's a step in the right direction. But for playing regular controller based games you'll likely want an Xbox or PS controller. But IDK.. it's still a step in the right...

Longest time you had a new game unopened?

I've been meaning to do that for years now.. lol I remember not buying it initially due to the DRM, which I think was back when Securom limited activations was all the rage. But caved when I saw it for like $5. I remember the first one being pretty good.. maybe it's time, haha

Sorry bout that. Haha! Yeah, I spent a ton with them too on all the game blowout sales they seemed to constantly have. Plus, I always thought it was cool to own the boxed copies instead of buying stuff off Steam or the like. After they went out of business I started buying more from Steam sales...

Did any of you ever buy games from gogamer.com before they shut down? I still have a ton of discounted games I bought from them still sitting unopened in the boxes. Turok, NHL 07, Enclave, Beowulf, Chronicles or Riddick, Race 07, Titan Quest, Sacred Gold ed, Sacred 2, just to name a few.. haha

Words cannot express....

I will never purchase another game that includes GFWL ever again. I originally ran into issues with the first Mass Effect, I never was able to figure out what was going on so I just gave up and played it on the 360. Then I forgot to check Arkham City and ran into similar issues as the OP...
