Did just try a different monitor and cable but still no dice. If I wasn't stuck inside, I'd just assume junk it, but hmm maybe I'll watch some youtube videos on identifying/replacing bad capacitators.
As old as the motherboard I assume (also donated). It is a thermaltake toughpower 750AP. On the other hand, my primary computer/htpc is also this old and no problems with it yet...
Bummer; thanks for the tips, though. Yeah a neighbor gave me this motherboard though he did mentioned it was working. Guess perhaps I should just junk it. How the heck do you responsibly get rid of an old motherboard?
Hi all,
Putting together a pc from old parts and getting some really weird visual glitches on the screen. These started from the very minute I started installing Windows 10 from a flash drive and have persisted once the install was completed. CPU is an AMD X2 6000+ on an old Foxconn C51XEM2AA...
Hi all, For more years than I can remember (since 2009, maybe?) I have been using a socket AM2+ AMD 64 x2 5050e on an Asus M3A78-EM mATX motherboard with integrated graphics (780g chipset) and 4gb of ram. In a Silverstone mATX HTP case. I've got a big SSD in it and It has been able to do...
Thank you both for your feedback! Mothergoose: haven't used Access for 5+ years and never used it much to begin with, but I am certainly open to it, and it definitely seems like it would be useful for operating this program more efficiently.
So here is where I am at: I've got my database with...
Hi all,
I work for a nonprofit social services organization that provides monthly stipends to clients who are unemployed but actively job searching. I have several payment schedules, each named "Last name, First name.xls" and located in one folder. These are all identical in format and one cell...
I've been using a 2009-era asus netbook (1005ha) for the past 4 years for general office tasks (mostly MS word/internet) and it's served me well. But by now the battery barely holds a charge, the WiFi card is unreliable, etc. So I'm in the market for something new.
I don't do any gaming or...
I'd been using a fairly standard cheap ikea desk...chipboard with black surface.
Upgraded to a bigger one with a white glossy surface...and can't get the cursor on my logitech mx518 to move so much one inch. Works like a charm on any other surface...including a mousepad so it's no big deal...
Thanks for the info. I actually did port my old AT&T number to google voice so I'm not too concerned about the number...guess after thinking about it some more the only minor drawback is I might have to spend the $5 or whatever on a new straight-talk SIM.
stupid question maybe, but does anyone know if I can stop refilling my straight talk for a few months and then reactivate it with the same SIM? I'm going to be out of the country for a few months and figure I might as well save ~$150 if possible...but I don't want to lose my number.
I just ordered one of these and got an estimated ship date of 2/24...what gives? There is no indication that it is backordered or anything like that.
Edit: Well, scratch that, just got a ship notice!
