Howdy,
I would like to run a .exe file on someone elses computer over my LAN. I was wondering if I could do this from the command line in a dos window by accessing the remote computer's administrative share ( ie. C$ ). Is this easy to do? I know I can copy files to this share and such, but...
UPDATE:
Well, after reading the manual I found out that I was given the wrong remote (no LCD). So I went back to BB and made them give me the right remote, which they had paired up to the wrong display receiver.
While there, I threw a mild fit about being ripped off about the speakers and...
I just got the last one, open box from the Austin BB @183 & 360. I did not get manual, but printed it from the web site.
I got it for $209, but the guy said open box was not eligable for the free speakers. I looked at the add when I got back to work

Thanks Noggin,
The "system" process had a handle on the file. I killed the handle but still can only open the file as "read only." This is a pretty handy proggy though. Thanks for the info.

My companies timesheets are kept on the company server. One employee cannot open his time sheet because the server thinks the file is already open, but this is not the case. I know that rebooting the server has worked in the past, but this is the server and thus I do not wish to kick...
Well, the guys in the general hardware forum couldn't even guess at this one, so I thought maybe you guys would have an idea. I cannot burn any DVDs because I get a power calibration error. How do I fix this?
Thanks,
I've had this problem twice.
First time I fixed it by booting from a DOS disk, then use the FDISK MBR command. I don't remember the exact command, I always look it up on the web. This formats over your "Master Boot Record" if you did not already know. After this is done, I was able to...
