i haven't been keeping up with the overclocking news over the past year but have started building new systems just this month. I've been seeing this BSEL mod mentioned in multiple places but I can't find a good article about what it is, why/how it works, and how to do it, rather just sporadic...

yeah, shipping totally kills this deal... thenerds.net has this case for 128.99 with 1.99 shipping and if you got though jellyfish get some more percent off... anyone think the rebate would still be honored? the form just says "at participating stores" but it looks like its a coolermaster rebate...

E2180 & ECS 945GCT-M/1333 @ Frys $78.99

supposedly this deal is valid for E2180 or E2200 as per reports at fatwallet. Both are retail and come with the mobo for the same price. Why would one go for the E2180 over E2200? Thanks

best price i can find is $227 at mwave shipped (+sales tax in CA) use fatwallet for 3% fatcash rebate until 5/13 and order total comes to $213.28, pretty good price. Better deal for me than the $199 frys.com deal from a couple weeks ago since they would charge tax in texas

Hard Drive beep

yeah, chirp is probably a much more accurate description. the drives seem to be working fine. access times seem to be a bit slow at times, maybe that's in my head. i was wondering if it might be secondary to my power supply being too weak to handle it all...

Hard Drive beep

Hey everyone, I've got this noise that I'm occasionally hearing from one of my hard drives that sounds like a beep or something. Right now i have 3 400GB Seagate SATAs, not sure which one is making the noise or if its just one of them. THey are all relatively new. Any ideas on what this sound...

Seagate 400's $99.99+tax OTD @ Fry's LA stores

just called and confirmed in Houston, TX that they are selling for 99.99 B&M, sales person couldnt tell me, however if it was 7200.10 or 9. Circuitcity.com has this for like 250 or something, anyone think a PM would work? that'd be an extra 15 bucks off or so...

they always do this, they say its the 7200.9, but then say its perpendicular recording. i thought perp recording started w/ 7200.10
